FAQ

Reiki (ray - key) is a Japanese word meaning universal life energy.  The energy found in all things. 

Some of the greatest Reiki benefits are stress reduction and relaxation.  

Reiki is a natural therapy that gently balances life energies and brings health and well-being to the recipient.

How does Distance Reiki Work

Reiki is energy.  Energy travels.  Sitting in my Hot Springs office, Reiki energy can be received anywhere by any animal.                                                                                                                                                                                                       

Do you travel to my place

Yes, I travel to you so that your animal is in a familiar and comfortable location.

There is no charge for travel within Fall River and Custer Counties.  

Travel in South Dakota beyond those two counties will have a travel fee associated with the total cost of service. 

Fees for travel outside of South Dakota will vary upon location, those fees will be discussed at the time of booking the appointment. 

What happens during a session

After we meet, you will sign a consent form.  I will ask a few questions about the pet such as, name and age, a brief description of what prompted you to schedule an appointment.

The session begins with deep breathing to start the relaxation.  We silence ourselves.

The animal is not restrained, disciplined, fed, or played with during a session.  

From first glance one might think nothing is going on.  However, I am in a meditative state and focused, and connecting to the animal.  A common response to Reiki is the animal will fall into a relaxed sleep.  

When the animal lets me know the session is over, I will say "All Is Well" as a signal to everyone we are finished.

Do you work on all animals?

Yes!  All animals, from Aardvark to Zebrafish.  

What if my pet isn't receptive?

We will reschedule the session for another day.  

The payment you have made will apply toward the rescheduled session.  

Do you accept human clients?

Yes.  I am a certified Practitioner and Teacher for human Reiki as well.  You will sit in a chair. 

Payment

Payment is due when scheduling a session or a class unless other arrangements are made.
