White Hawk Reiki provides a space where animals and humans connect heart-to-heart, for a gentle yet profound energetic transformation. 

During the journey of creating this business, the symbolism of the white hawk, became apparent to use for the name. The white hawk represents purity, divine messages, and heightened spiritual awareness.

Cynthia grew up on a farm in Nebraska, surrounded by the beauty of open fields and a deep connection to animals. Her love for learning and helping others led her to become a teacher and later a librarian, serving elementary, high school, and university students and adults.

Cynthia’s career brought her to the Black Hills of South Dakota to become the director at the Hot Springs Public Library, where she found joy in fostering community connections through the power of books and knowledge. 

A first time Reiki session opened the door to new possibilities, inspiring her to train in Reiki for humans. 

After retiring from the library world, she embarked on a new chapter in life, working at Moccasin Springs Natural Mineral Spa.  

While working at the spa, being immersed in alternative health care not only renewed Cynthia's  interest but also encouraged her to explore it more deeply. Which led to Animal Reiki, bringing her journey full circle back to the childhood passion for animals. 

Today, she respects using these practices to nurture the well-being of animals and humans alike.  

Beyond Reiki, she finds joy connecting with people, exploring nature, creative projects, and everything related to water – oceans, rivers, quiet lakes, and a rainy day.
